Firehouse Shelter Executive Director Anne Darden Wright will give a brief presentation on how the Shelter is making a difference in the lives of the homeless, and there will be a special testimony by one of the Shelter’s program alumni.
Wright says: “We are thrilled to have someone of Sylvester Croom’s stature come and speak on behalf of The Firehouse Shelter and our mission of serving the area’s homeless. All the money raised at the luncheon will go directly to our housing programs which provide stability to the 219 men staying at one of our facilities each night.”
For 30 years, The Firehouse Shelter has provided homeless men in the Birmingham area with a nurturing and caring environment while empowering each individual to reach their full potential.
